Gordan forms part of our young, gifted and industrious phalanx of attorneys in rendering legal assistance. He bleeds pursuing client’s interests and whetting client’s satisfaction through mediation & arbitration as cheaper means of settling legal disputes. Kijjambu specializes in Corporate & Commercial law& Practice, Public Litigation and Human Rights. Kijjambu is thoroughly grounded in various areas of Corporate and Commercial law & practice, NGO, Insolvency, debt & property recovery, Employment & Employee benefits, Intellectual property, securities & capital markets as well as land conveyance and real estate.

Kijjambu advises on commercial contracts, land transactions & conveyance and compliance obligation with regulatory bodies in Uganda. Kijjambu holds an Honors Degree in Laws from International University of East Africa (IUEA) where he graduated as the valedictorian in 2020. He is a recipient of the 2020 Denning Award which is given to the best law student at IUEA.

As part of his legal studies, Kijjambu interned with the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs which grounded him with wealth of Government-based litigation, sovereign guarantee arrangements, state-bilateral agreements and legislative drafting and he further undertook Research internship at Uganda’s Bank of Uganda which accoutred him with a pool of knowledge in Banking law and Financial Regulation & compliance.

Kijjambu has unparalleled passion for good governance, equal opportunities, social-justice activism & constitutionalism and this spans from his outspread student leadership positions. He served as the IUEA Guild President in 2019, Speaker of the Uganda Students’ Activism Forum (USAF) in 2018, Speaker of the IUEA Law Society in 2020, President of the East African Students’ Integration Forum in 2018 – 2021 and he is currently the Prime Minister of the Law Development Center where he is undertaking his Bar Course studies.

These leadership positions gave him a vantage platform to champion students’ rights & equality across university divide and being a rallying focal point for student-based litigation. Kijjambu is currently undertaking an online certificate in Debt Recovery & Business Restructuring at the Yale University (USA). He will soon be joining the University of Maastricht in Netherlands for his Masters in International Trade and Investments Law.

Transactional Experience. a) Advises corporate entities on their business formation, incorporation status and registration and issues of corporate governance. b) Advises on formation of both foreign and indigenous NGOS in Uganda. c) Advised foreign NGOs on the local law aspects of acquiring land in Uganda. d) Involved in debt & property recovery matters on behalf of Aspida Advocates Clients. e) Advised indigenous companies on enforcing and executing foreign judgments worth over 2 billion shillings in UAE/Dubai. f) Advised private entity on enforcing and executing foreign judgment worth over 5-Billion Shillings against the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
